PANAJI- The superintendent of police, special branch, Mr Atmaram Deshpande on Wednesday informed that after the Mumbai attack the Goa police had issued guidelines on security at casinos.
Speaking to The Navhind Times, Mr Deshpande said these guidelines were mostly technical and secretive in nature, but could be very effective during the time of exigencies.
He said the police had urged the casino owners to install close circuit TVs, go for valet parking and step up overall security measures.
The Captain of Ports and the police carried out mock drills to check whether the casino owners followed up the guidelines in toto or there were any lapses.
A joint meeting was also organised wherein all these aspects were discussed, he informed.
Mr Deshpande said that after a month the police received a compliance report.
