Parrikar to open economic seminar

PANAJI- Opposition leader Mr Manohar Parrikar has been invited by GCCI and IBS (both business bodies) to inaugurate a national seminar themed: `Financial Tsunami’- and its impact on the Indian Economy, on January 8 at the GCCI Convention Hall, Panaji. The seminar will discuss and debate on the meltdown, which has led to shock waves across the world, with economy after economy grasping for breath to survive this financial tsunami, a GCCI press release said.

Gujarat tourism plans tie-up with Goa

Prime Minister to lay foundation stone of Chennai expressway

CHENNAI- Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will lay the foundation stone for the 19-km elevated expressway connecting Chennai Port and Maduravoyal here Thursday. “The corridor, being built at an outlay of Rs 1,655 crore (Rs.16.55 billion), will be completed in three years,” Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Minister T.R.Baalu told reporters here Tuesday.
