Roy Colaco scripts St Rock's 3-1 win

MAPUSA- St Rock's Sports Club, Fatrade, scored a well deserved 3-1 win over Calangute Association in their fourth round match of GFA’s 1st Division League, played at Poriat grounds, Calangute, here today. It was a brilliant display by substitute Roy Colaco who not only scored a brace but was instrumental in the third goal for Fatrade. With today’s win St Rock’s stand with seven points, while Calangute remain on the bottom with three points.

Progress High School, Panajim will face Progress High School, Sankalim in the finals of the Vinoo Mankad U-16 (boys) cricket. In the first semi-final, the enterprising Progress High School, Sankhalim, rode on the 5-wicket haul of bowler Sunny to register a 28-run win over the resilient Our Lady of Lourdes High School.

Food Corporation of India (West Zone), Mumbai will award stipends to student sportspersons who have performed well in National School Games, National Junior and Senior Championships and All India Inter University Tournaments. In individual events it should be first, second and third position in above tournaments.
