VASCO- The Airport Authority of India, Goa has reinforced additional armed Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in an around the premises of Dabolim Airport.
Informing the security arrangements at Dabolim Airport, the airport director, Mr D Paul Manickam said that the AAI has geared up to face any challenge in terms of security as the state have a terror threat.
Mr Manickam stated that with the recent terror attack in Mumbai, the central government as well as state government have applied the security force with arms in an around Dabolim airport and round the clock patrolling is maintained by the CISF and local police.
The airport authority has already stopped the visitors entering into the terminal premises and also the vehicles are not allowed to park in the airport premises in view of the terror threat.
The entire airport premises have been under the security check and in order to store every visual of the passengers, close circuit TV cameras are installed at every point.
The airport authority have also set up bunkers at the entrance and exit points besides in the premises of the airport and it is being manned by armed CISF and local police round the clock, informed Mr Manickam.
Meanwhile, according to sources, film star, Salman Khan besides other Bollywood actor/actresses are going to visit Goa in view of New Year celebration. Industrialist, Mr Mukesh Ambani and his family members will also visit Goa.
The security at Dabolim Airport will be tightened till January first week as there are chances of more celebrities and business house people to pay visit in the state.
