Adidas retail showroom inaugurated at Calangute

MAPUSA—Focus Group of Companies, a Goan company with a slew of retail outlets dealing with home and personal items, have opened their new showroom at Calangute opposite Club city. The showroom consists of two parts: one dealing with designer sportswear of ‘Adidas’ and the other dealing with artifacts and showpiece-curios. The showroom named ‘Earth’.
'Adidas' and 'Earth' are two separate ventures housed in the same premises. The Focus Group is the retail business for last 10 years and this is Focus’s second showroom after Margao. And for Earth this is the first showroom. However both plan to expand their business by setting up outlets at other places in the state.
Speaking to The Navhind Times Mr Jorge Menezes of Focus Group of companies said that the two showrooms ‘Adidas’ and ‘Earth’ are involved in selling top quality materials be it in sports or be it for the purpose of using these artifacts as showpieces in the house.
He said that Focus deals with lifestyle related items and for this purpose the intention of Focus was to sell quality material at affordable rates in other words ‘value for money’.
At Adidas showroom various sportswear men and women are on sale at affordable rates. Mr Menezes felt that these personal sportswear and home items would buyers from tourists as well as locals, and considering the fact that Calangute was an important tourist destination.
Mr Vishal Gupta of Earth said that all these artifacts and lifestyle items that are on display for sale at the showroom are all manufactured at Mumbai.
Earth is in this business for the last 4 years and we have our branches at major places in India. With this first venture at Calangute we hope to move across to other places in Goa, he said. Mr Gupta added that the items are at affordable rates. For the people of Calangute this is indeed a something innovative. Mr Bruno Coutinho, a well-known footballer inaugurated the showroom.
