PANAJI- SBI Life Insurance Co. Ltd. has introduced ‘SBI Life - Group Criti9’, a traditional non-participating Group Health plan for resident Indian account holders of the State Bank Group. Criti9 is first being launched for customers of SBI Bangalore circle. SBI Life – Group Criti9 provides protection against 9 critical illnesses, including cancer, heart-attack (myocardial infraction), stroke, coronary artery bypass surgery, kidney failure (end stage renal disease), major organ transplant, coma, multiple sclerosis and heart valve surgery. Key features of this plan include a simplified joining process, guaranteed renewability till 65 years of age and prompt lump sum payment on submission of necessary documents on diagnosis of any covered critical illnesses.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Uday Sankar Roy, MD & CEO SBI Life Insurance, said: “SBI Life – Group Criti9 attempts to provide a superior health insurance option, somewhat akin to what an individual would get in a traditional Indian joint family system. With increasing nuclearisation, a group health insurance plan such as SBI Life – Group Criti9 could provide the much-needed cushion for an individual seeking simultaneous safety and protection for several critical illnesses.”
The introduction of SBI Life – Group Criti9 in Bengaluru is part of a pilot project, and the company intends to introduce the offering across the country in due course, Mr
Roy added.
