Stipend scheme for sportspersons

Food Corporation of India (West Zone), Mumbai will award stipends to student sportspersons who have performed well in National School Games, National Junior and Senior Championships and All India Inter University Tournaments. In individual events it should be first, second and third position in above tournaments. In team events, the performance of the individual should be exemplary. Stipend is entitled in badminton, table tennis, football, hockey and cricket. Talented sportspersons from rural/tribal areas who are not students also can apply. The stipend amount is Rs 3000 per month for the age group 15 to 21 years and Rs 5000 for the age group 21 to 24 years.
Interested candidates who wish to appear for selection trials may do so by submitting full bio data with copies of sports certificates, age proof and student identity card at FCI, Zonal Office, Bandra-Mumbai.
