Hykon India-Sai Solar ties-up for water heating solutions

PANAJI- Sai Solar, a known name for solar products in Goa for last six years has joined hands with Hykon India (P)Ltd, a stainless steel solar water heater manufacturer approved by MNRE Delhi and GEDA Goa. HYKON has a wide range of water heaters with capacities varying from 100LPD to10,000 LPD. The applications include domestic water heating, commercial establishments like hotels, hospitals, resorts, hostels etc.
Hykon is having solar water heater with ETC technology, which is the most advanced and state of art technology in Solar Water heaters. The efficiency is more than in a flat plate solar water hater. ETC water heaters produce hot water even in winter / rainy days. The main part of ETC solar water heaters is a Stainless steel PF insulated tank. Evacuated Glass tube collectors, Stainless Steel Stand. The vacuum tubes are with different diameter and length according to applications. In pressurized systems heat pipes are used.
Solar Water heater consists of mainly 2 parts. One is the collector and other is Insulated tank. The cold water in the collector get heated up and collected in the tank by thermo siphon principle. This circulation continue till the water in the tank heated up to 60-85’ centigrade. The hot water in the tank remains hot for more than 36 hours.
Evacuated Glass tubes used as the Collector/absorber in ETC Solar Water heaters. The ETC is having two tubes with vacuum between the tubes. The outer tube is transparent allowing light rays to pass through with minimal reflection. The inner tube is coated with a special selective coating (Al-N-Al) which features excellent solar radiation absorption and minimal reflection properties. The trapped heat inside the tube will not transferred to the outer tube because of vacuum.
ETC based HYKON Solar water heating is now a mature technology. Wide spread utilization of solar water heaters can reduce a significant portion of the conventional energy being used for heating water in homes, factories and other commercial & institutional establishments. Internationally the marked for solar after heaters has expanded significantly during the last decade. It is estimated that over 107 million sq.m of collector area has so far been installed world wide for healing water. In the country, the collector area so far installed for water heating is over 100 million sq m Ministry has plans to add another 1.00 million sq m in next two years.
