CM assures boost to film production in state

VASCO - The Chief Minister, Mr Digambar Kamat said that his government would give all aid for any film production facilities in the state.
The chief minister was speaking after inaugurating the D & A Film Production Studio in Vasco. The film production unit is owned by Mr Danny Gomes and Ms Anna Rebelo The newly inaugurated studio would deal with the pre-production and post-production facilities.
Speaking further, he said that this could be one of the most ultra modern and sophisticated studio in Goa. He hoped this studio would give a boost for film production in the state and assured all steps in this direction.
Mr Kamat was happy to see that the newly inaugurated studio was well equipped with modern techniques. He said that the studio would reach the heights of success in the days to come.
On the occasion, Revenue Minister, Mr Jose Philip D’Souza, Parish Priest of St Andrew’s Church Rev Fr Jose Antonio Da Costa, Mormugao Municipal council (MMC), Chairperson, Mr Kritesh Gaonkar, councilor, Mr Arnaldo Rego, Mr Higino Rebelo, Mr Daniel D’Souza, Mr Danny Gomes, Ms Anna Rebelo besides other eminent personalities from Vasco were present for the inauguration function.
Revenue Minister, Mr Jose Philip D’Souza said that she was happy to see that Ms Anna Rebelo with her vast experience ventured into the business of film production.
He hoped that the studio which is located at Vasco would give a boost to local youth who want to venture into film production.
Further, he said with Goa being the permanent Film Festival venue the promoters of D & A Productions will bag many awards from the international film community shortly.
Mr D’Souza further hoped that the D & A Production would aim to create awareness among the entertainment industry in Goa and thus create a ‘Gollywood’, a wonderful feather of Goan touch in the crown of India.
Ms Anna Rebelo has completed her education in the Bachelor in Business Administration. She studied at the National Film Institute of India, Chennai and has trained in film editing and productions.
The studio is equipped with world class sophisticated digital cine cameras and all necessary shooting equipments.
The firm will also be organising hospitality services for artistes and technicians, assisting men and materials at shooting spot, travel assistance to artistes and technicians to their destinations and helping to identify the junior artistes and sub-technicians at locations.
