Goan architect wins award at Singapore

PANAJI - Goan architect, Mr Rahul Deshpande, has been awarded “ The Best Recreational Architectural design Award 2007” at a ceremony held at Singapore for his Cuncolim Bus stand design.
Dr S Jaishanker, High Commisioner of India to Singapore along with Mr Yai Lee Siang, president of Singapore Institute of Architects, gave the award to Mr Rahul Deshpande.
The awards are organised by A+D Spectrum Architecture foundation, New Delhi. The A+D Spectrum Architecture awards are held annually.
Other architects to receive the A+D architecture awards have been Mr Charles Correa, Mr Raj Rewal, Mr BV Doshi, Mr Uttam Jain amongst others, says the press release here.
Mr Rahul Deshpande’s work has been appreciated and featured in various design magazines in India and abroad. Mr Deshpande was a part of the Task Force set by the government, in formulating the Regional plan RP2021.
