St Cruz Cavelossim pip DBO, in finals

PANAJI - Santa Cruz Club Cavelossim defeated Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda, 7-6 via the tie-breaker to set up a finals clash with Chandor SC in 27th Gold Silver Rolling trophy football tournament at Rosary grounds, Navelim on Thursday. The teams were tied goalless at full time.
The semi-finals clash today witnessed both teams fighting tooth and nail as Cavelossim enjoyed major share of ball possession in the first session. In the second half, it was DBO who rallied hard to snatch the winner.
With both teams failing to break the deadlock at full time, the tie-breaker system was employed.
In the tie-breaker, Agnelo Passana, Rowlan Fernandes, Charles Rodrigues, Meviton Fernandes, Christben Estibeiro, Stanley Rebello and Levy Lobo were on target for Cavelossim. For DBO, Sanjay Borkar, Vincent Barboza, Mahadev T, Santana Furtado, Danny Dias and Conceicao Soares converted for DBO.
