Parrikar lauds performance of LIC

MAPUSA - Opposition leader, Mr Manohar Parrikar has lauded the performance of the Life Insurance Corporation of India. Appreciating the role played by the LIC Mr Parrikar said that inspite of being a monolith public sector organisation of size and dimension until 1999 it was customer oriented.
Speaking at the 52nd anniversary of LIC India Mr Parrikar further said that even after the entry of private insurers , LIC still maintained its eminent position as a market leader in the Indian market, with the use of technology and service. Mr Parrikar also expressed happiness over the fact that the LIC’s claim settlement was way ahead of other insurers.
Hoping that the LIC would always continue to give top class service Mr Parrikar highlighted the need for low cost insurance for the lower income group. Senior Branch manger Ms Chitra Naik said that due to the support of the customers LIC has been able to bag 9 awards for its achievements. She also highlighted the fact that the LIC through its 40 main products was taking care of each individual from the age group of 0 to 74 and as such the organization has the vision to become a world class customer centric organisation. Mr Pradip Joshi , Ms Padmaja Narvekar and Ms Sweta Tar were also present.
